As an interdisciplinary artist working with various mediums, I perceive images as vocabularies to excavate the unseeable aspects of different subjects.
My work presents my thinking process and always begin with simple living experiences, evolving into profound inquiries into essence. Extensive research across sciences guides my iterative research and practice until satisfaction. I prioritize 'how' and 'why' over 'what,' seeking to unveil truths.
Working across photography, text, drawing, video and installation, I am not obsessed with a specific medium or technique, only choose it for the project’s purpose. Meanwhile, book always seems the perfect stage for my work that each page is one scene with infinite binary space where I could create abundant frameworks of comprehension with elements printed on various materials.
Unfolding stories with non-linear narrative, I hope my artwork never sets up definitive answers, allowing the details of the work to resonate with the viewers, prompting them to expand, make connections and gain more illuminating reflections.
Currently based in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A. MFA Candidate for Photography at Rhode Island School of Design.
